 Akamas Safari (From Limassol)
Discover the mysterious and virgin territory of "Akamas"- north of
Paphos- Aphrodite’s birthplace-. We begin our journey in this
undisturbed territory that was once the side of a major Roman city.
Old Byzantine ruins emerge from the scrub and fields of wild flowers.
You will wonder at rare species of birds and the rugged beautiful
landscapes. Our first stop takes us to the "Avagas Gorge". We take a
stroll between sheer walls of limestone rising 30 meters high. We
meander through the river bed to admire the natural beauty! A short
drive along the rugged coastal road leads us to the famous "Lara Bay",
the last remaining breeding ground of the green turtles of the whole
Mediterranean. We take the opportunity here, to swim in the crystal
clear waters before making our way through the famous "Akamas" forest,
to the barbeque site. Here a traditional "Souvla" is prepared for you to
enjoy with wine, music and dancing! Great fun is had by all!
